Publisher's Summary

It was just another after-work happy-hour bar downtown, where business professionals unwound with a few drinks, complained about the boss, maybe hooked up with someone for the night. Until something went terribly wrong. At first it was just a friction in the air. The noise intensified. The crowd seemed oppressive. Some sharp words were exchanged; some pushing and shoving.

Left me feeling empty

Would you ever listen to anything by J. D. Robb again?

Yes, but I hope she steps back up to her usual exceptional standards.

Which character – as performed by Susan Ericksen – was your favorite?

Eve of course.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

I was disappointed, At the end of this book, I felt like a starving woman that was invited in for a full course meal and it was over after the appetizers. This is the first time one of J.D.'s books have left me feeling unsatisfied.
