I've enjoyed this trilogy very much. The first two books are so different and unique - even from each other. The only reason I didn't give the book a 5 star rating for the story is that I was expecting something "more" from the ending. Even though I read other reviews that mentioned that the ending seemed somewhat rushed, it didn't keep me from reading the book. I just wish there had been a few more chapters.
It's still one of my favorite series and in about a year I will listen to all three books in a row and it might give me a different outlook on the ending.

This story is a bit more sci-fi (or speculative) than the 2nd book, but it is still, essentially, a thriller book with a hint of sci-fi in how the technical/tools enable the events to occur. So, the world is not sci-fi, nor are people's behaviors, or the society, but there are a slew of alien tools that make the story just brush into the sci-fi realm.
Great little twist in here too - I didn't see it coming, but, in hindsight, it was not all that unexpected after all... the author lead us so - oh-so-subtly - down a road that it isn't until we are at the end of that road that we realize how well-crafted it was.
I really wish there were more books in this series. It is a perfect blend of my two favorite genres (thriller/mystery and sci-fi) and it is very well written. Audible doesn't have them listed as a series, but you really should read them in order: The Breach, Ghost Country, then Deep Sky. I think the stories do stand alone, but the character development and source of the alien artifacts will make more sense if the books are read in order.
The narrator is decent... occasionally you can hear him inhale, but the story takes you away from 'hearing' that most of the time. There is nothing gory, graphic or sexual here. I don't think there was any swearing either...

Stumbled across first 2 books on scribd as recommended by Lee Child (Jack Reacher novels)
Used audible for last one - an excellent and surprising thriller unique in my experience
Was a bit unsure about this series initially but really enjoyed it and the end was good as well but sort of leaves it open for another book as well
