Publisher's Summary

London is steaming under a summer of filthy heat and sudden storms – and Detective Nick Belsey, of Hampstead CID, is trying to stay out of trouble. But then somebody sets him a riddle.
How does a man walk into a dead-end alley and never come out? How does he disappear? And then reappear – to snatch a girl, to dump a body beneath a London skyscraper, to send Belsey a package of human hair.
The answer lies underground, where the secrets degenerating beneath the city’s sickly glitter are about to see the light of day.

Going Underground

Great fun for conspiracy theorists everywhere mixing early 80s paranoia with cover ups 30 years later.

A change from the first Nick Belsey story. Looking forward to the next one but it's hard to imagine he can go off the grid so far again next time.

Clever, but at times clunky, tale set mainly in caves under Wiltshire

I choose this mainly because it concerns the secret underground city that was completed for WW2 and Cold War, and any additional info about that place is welcome. If you strip location out, I'm not sure if the story would have been very good

Deep Shelter

Amazing plot ,loved the underground tunnels beneath London and beyond.I don't know how Nick remains in the police force I think he should be promoted to MI6.I wonder why they don't make this into. TV mini series.Loved it
