Publisher's summary

For four years, Kate Marshall has been grieving the loss of her husband and their three-year-old son in a boating accident. But when she spots a familiar-looking child on an escalator in the mall, she is convinced it is the son she thought was dead. With police skeptical of her story, she turns to private investigator Connor Sullivan. The former Secret Service agent is dubious but agrees to investigate. Digging into the case he discovers that the incident may have been no accident at all. But if Kate's son is alive, someone is intent on keeping him hidden - and may be willing to go to lethal lengths to protect a sinister secret. As Irene Hannon's many fans have come to expect, Deceived is filled with complex characters, unexpected twists, and a riveting plot line that accelerates to an explosive finish.

I never can put her books down once I start it

I have read many of her books, I will enjoy the suspense, romance, and the religious overtones, be sure to read as many as you can, I would recommend them to anyone, just don’t read them with your wife, because she reads the same one over and over again thank you

Just Me

I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone. My radio is out in my truck so it kept me company.

It was okay

I listened to this book while on a road trip. The storyline appealed to me when reading the writ up about the book but I found it to be quite simplistic. It was slow to get to the point when it was obvious of what was going to happen next. I probably won't order another book by this author or recommend the author or the book. It passed the time for me while driving. I found the words of the child in this book not to accurately reflect a child of the boy's age.

Deceived

This narrator is just wonderful. Do not let her get away. Kate Baldwin, This story was also the best. I had smiles and tears as well as holding on through scary situations. Recommend anyone to listen for sure. Marilyn

Horrible narration!

Hardly any inflection, and she sounds like she’s bored. At some points it’s just monotone, and there’s barely any differentiation between the characters. Almost ruined the great story!
