Tense!

Adila Cooper is gritty and tenacious. The story held my attention to the very end.

Mikela Drew did a great job narrating and bringing the characters to life.

Excellent

A good plot. How the detective worked to find the person. Good narration added to this good story and enjoyed. Given audio for my voluntary review

It started out pretty good (spoilers included)

The first part of this story was pretty good, it held my attention with a good plot and characters. As the story progressed, it became more and more far-fetched, to the point that you would have thought that both the killer and the heroine had super powers. I know that it is a work of fiction, but it was supposed to be a crime novel, not a fantasy, and some of the things the killer did in the limited timeframe he had, were just ridiculous. In the end, the main character, the policewoman, developed her own super powers, to take out an entire drug network and all of it's henchmen single handedly (not really the main plot). Oh, and don't bother hoping for a good end for anyone, including the main character. I had no complaints with the narrator, just the last half or so of the book.
