Publisher's summary

Detective Hannah Shor is desperate to prove her worth to her superiors - and herself. When a middle-aged man is found stabbed to death in his apartment, she might just get her chance. But then she finds that the deceased was a vile Internet troll, sexually harassing women on Twitter. Hannah starts wondering if she really wants to catch his killer.

And the night is far from over. Only several hours later, a young woman is strangled to death. Detective Jacob Cooper discovers that the victim was lost in her own virtual world - a recluse who spent all day sucked into a violent online role-playing game. To find the murderer, Jacob might have to step into the game.

Now Hannah will have to push aside her qualms, and Jacob will have to find a way to overcome his technophobia if they want to crack the cases. Their search will take them into the seedier parts of the Internet and uncover shocking secrets as they attempt to expose a killer.

Excellent police procedural, but...

...Deadly Web is not as good as Spider's Web or Web of Fear, the other two books in the series. Despite the excellent story I was disappointed because it does not justify 5 stars which the other two books in the series earn. Narrator Eric Martin, who I had not listened to before this series, is superb.

Brilliant as Always!

Mike Omer has become my favourite crime fiction writer. And Eric Martin is a perfect narrator. This book - and the entire Glenmore Park series - are well worth your time and money!

Felt like there was no purpose

This book felt like a “filler” between the first and third books. I don’t really know why, but I kind of hated this book for not being as involved or mysterious as the other two. The narrator is great though!

Rambling and pointless.

I am a big Mike Omer fan but this was a dud. Rambling irrelevant videp gaming information just to fill pages.

Pretty good!

Not Omers best, but I did really enjoy it. There were alittle more characters that got confusing at times, but still good and looking forward to book3.

Captivating

I have read so many books from this author, hebis an amazing story teller and just when I think I know what did it, I was very wrong! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. I also really enjoyed the narrator he did an amazing job very easy to listen to and each character had their own unique voice. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes suspense, well done!!

Interesting plot

This was an interesting story with 2 murder cases being investigated side by side. I was kinda expecting them to connect somewhere but they didn’t. This is an interesting story since we get to see from so many perspectives of the different characters throughout. I didn’t connect with the characters as much, hence the rating. I think part of it was all the different perspectives but more than that I think it was that we get bits and pieces of personal things but I didn’t quite get the follow through on those strings. They get out out there and left dangling which just had me feeling a little disconnected from the characters. The plot is well done and it was an entertaining mystery.
Narrator wasn’t my favorite. Didn’t quite have that emotion in the voices that matched the action in the story. Still did a good job with the story.

Deadly web

I enjoyed this book, but it was kind of all over the place. Mike Omar is a great author, and I highly enjoy reading his books as they are hard to put down. The first book in the series was a bit more suspenseful, but this was definitely worth the read.

Deadly Web

I totally loved this book. Filled with mystery, deception, and even humor was thrown in which made a mind melting story.
We live in a world where computers are evil, but also very necessary, but when a sick minded person finds, and tries to ruin lives it’s easy to do so. It makes me feel sick when lives are ruined by the culprits who just having fun with no remorse.
Even scammers are prolific.
We are in for big changes when our government finishes off with their watch , and know all the details of our lives that will be in their control.
