Publisher's summary

Best-seller number five from Charlaine Harris' beloved Aurora Teagarden series places the amateur sleuth directly in harm's way. Detective Sergeant Jack Burns and Aurora never got along, and now Jack's dead body has been dropped from a plane directly into Aurora's back yard. Murder is personal this time for Aurora - but has she received a message, or a gruesome warning?

It's not supernatural, it's just super...

Charlaine Harris hits it out of the park with this suspenseful thriller. We knew she could write about vampires and werewolves, here she shows that she can write about real life as well. Aurora Teagarden is a great character in this excellent series. listen soon.

A very good book

I enjoyed this book, just as I have enjoyed all of the Aurora Teagarden series. The writing was engaging and entertaining. However, I felt that the ending was a bit far fetched. It's a good read and I reccomend it to everyone who likes cozy mysteries.

I laughed, I cried

What made the experience of listening to Dead Over Heels the most enjoyable?

I just enjoy the characters that this author creates. They are like some of my friends and I can identify with most of them. Having grown up in a small town I understand the dynamics that are going on.

What did you like best about this story?

The things that Aurora says are so real life, and she has a quirky sense of humor

Which character ??? as performed by Therese Plummer ??? was your favorite?

I really like how she reads Sooki.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes

not the best but still great

I enjoyed this one just not as much as the others. not sure why though. Maybe the character Paul being the murderer just seemed not quite right to me. and I am not sure why. i would still recommend it because I have no doubt it will help connect stories later on

Enjoyed this one very much!

Kept my interest. I love this narrator. If you enjoy a good mystery, it is easy to get hooked on this writer.

Interesting story line, gets slow in spots

A fun listen, but not one of her best. Still, kept my interest to the finish.

Okay

I’ve found the series this far to be pretty up and down. I didn’t relate to this plot line so much. I liked the character progression and Roe’s marriage. I liked the Youngbloods too, and their addition to the story. I just like some of the other plot lines better.

Caught me by surprise on several levels

I didn’t see the solution to this mystery until Roe did. I liked the book and that it furthered the character development, but I liked the development of the supporting characters better than the main ones. I liked the book well enough to move on to the next volume in the series to see if I still like the overall story given the main characters’ development in this book.

Lil bit churchy...

I read a lot of historical churchy fiction (Shardlake) and the churchiness isn’t annoying. Maybe it was churchiness together with barren lady envy of pregnant friend that was annoying. And really clean “I go to church but I’m really sexy”-ness. I don’t know. It’s a good church lady mystery...
