Great character development and witty!

Would you consider the audio edition of Con Job to be better than the print version?

Did not read the print version.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Con Job?

Several of them.... probably the most exciting was when everything came to a head in Con ops. I do not want to give the plot but it was action packed and easy to follow even with the numerous characters.

What does Ron Welch bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He brought the characters to life.

Any additional comments?

The author is witty. I was intrigued by the characters and as I kept listening, I could not wait to get back to the story to find out what was going to happen next!

What nerds everywhere have been waiting for.

Would you consider the audio edition of Con Job to be better than the print version?

Reading and listening are very different experiences. I enjoyed the audio book very much but for me paper will always be the more immersive of the two.

That said, there is a scene in the book involving voice over auditions. You can read this scene in your head, you can read it out loud. But those do not compare to hearing it preformed by a professional voice actor.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I fell in love with Jacob; his personality was perfect for the protagonist. The casual fanboy, versed in many fandoms, obsessed with none. Any geek can pick this up and no matter your favorite genre, you'll still like Jacob. He has emotional depth and a super backstory.

Which character – as performed by Ron Welch – was your favorite?

Jacob the main character. Yes this is an audio book, by virtue of that fact Welch had to play every character. But Jacob is the primary character thus it is more important to get him right.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. I wish I had had the time to do just that. But the good thing about listening to a book I've already read is that it makes it easier to go in and out of it.

Review of print edition:

Do you love Murder mysteries?
Do you dress up as obscure anime characters?
Do subtle Doctor Who and Star Trek references make you feel warm and fuzzy inside?
Do you want metaphorical revenge on the suits that canceled Firefly?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, this book is for you.

What else can I say that will make you instantly go read this? If the book's description hasn't already grabbed you and forced you to purchase this book, then you might just be a lost cause.

The Characters were the best part. But then, how could they not be, in a story where everyone is dressed like other characters?
