Publisher's summary

A tribe will do anything to protect their own. Described as a modern day Dances with Wolves, Cold River Rising is unlike any novel you've heard before. While on spring break from college, Native American Tara Eagle is kidnapped in a foreign land. Her tribe closes its borders, declares war, and sends an unlikely team to rescue her. They are joined by others.

A story of a people coming together, survival, and nobility of purpose.

Enes Smith is a gifted and knowledgeable writer

As one who is knowledgeable about Oregon and Washington native tribes and law enforcement I praise this entertaining and believable story which weaves native culture and custom with an exciting story. Well done, Mr. Smith!

Difficult to listen to.

I’m not sure why, but the reader made the women’s voices seem weak and subservient to me. Many times I could not hear the end of sentences because he spoke so quietly.

I liked the story, (working in and living near a tribal casino in Oregon) but I almost gave up on listening because of the reader.
