Publisher's Summary

A fun cozy mystery - with ghosts!
Prudence Wallflower tours the country, making live appearances. She connects people with loved ones who have passed on. However, her reputation as a clairvoyant medium is failing, and even Prudence has begun to doubt herself. She has never seen a ghost, but receives impressions from the dead. This all changes when the ghost of a detective appears to her in bodily form and demands her help to solve a murder. Prudence finds herself out of her depth as an amateur sleuth, and to make matters worse, she is more attracted to this ghost than any man she has ever met.

Interesting idea. Could have been better executed.

This book was frustrating. I liked the concept but so very, very many of the characters were unlikable that it wasn't pleasant to listen to. Also, the production editing could have been better. There were a number of instances where audio was repeated. The reader did a decent job with voices but I wasn't pleased with her pacing. At times it felt rushed.

Good start & I can't wait for what comes next!

What made the experience of listening to Christmas Spirit the most enjoyable?

I feel the fresh take on a well known topic is what made it most enjoyable.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the fact that the main character is a spry middle aged woman doing her own thing and she isn't like all the other ghost seeing heroines we can read about.

What aspect of Tiffany Dougherty’s performance would you have changed?

To me it sounds like Tiffany is rushing through the story; however, I will say that particular aspect could be have been done after she recorded the story (meaning during editing). If the speed of the narration is Tiffany, I would suggest slowing down and give a little more of a pause between sentences/paragraphs. Also adding more emotion into each characters' tones, for example if someone is upset or angry use a tone that sounds angry. If someone is whispering or trying to talk softly then lower and soften the sounds.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I wouldn't say I had any extreme reactions; however, I did laugh out loud many times. Morgana Best has you cheering and caring for the heroine the entire time.
