If Charleston were wine, it would be a dry claret. Smell it, savor it as that first sip blooms on your tongue like a red, red rose. Do you feel the warmth as it seeps into your bloodstream? If you do, you've just had your first deception, for Charleston will entertain you, entice and seduce you, but she will never, ever warm you. It is here in the moral ruins of the Holy City, that Arlena Prince loses everything, only to find loss can bring redemption. Go with her now to paradise, to Old Charleston by the Atlantic. But be wary, for though Arlena is saved in the end, you may not be so lucky.

Great to Have a Murder Series Set in Charleston!
Charleston's deeper levels.
Yes. Hardly gave me time for a breath scene to scene. Surprised me from every angle.
No. I am now waiting for the next book in this series to come out in Audible. I saw that it's already in kindle form.
I don't want to give the story away, but Raven had several moving moments in the story. I think she wanted to pretend that Arlena, the main character, was like a mother to her since she did not get along with her real mother.
If you like Charleston, you're going to love the idea of having a cozy murder series set there. Entertaining to say the least.
One you can't put down!!!!
Gripping Southern Mystery
Charleston's Elegant Sinners is Charleston's own Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. It's got the works: murder, the big house in the elite neighborhood, fabulous characters, family dysfunction, a person from the North to experience it all and report everything in the context of exotic Southern tradition.
I loved the oyster roast where Arlena got drunk and Stuart got mad about it and fought with Jon Priolieu and knocked him out and he fell backwards into a pile of oyster shells and corn cobs and shrimp peelings all to beach music playing in the background. Took me back to memories of my old college sorority/frat parties in the South.
I wanted to listen to listen to this book in one sitting, but thankfully it had enough length to it to last a few days for me.
This one is a definite good choice. You don't have to wonder whether you'll like it. You will!!!!
