Will Lee, the courageous and uncompromising senator from Georgia, is back - now as president of the United States - in this fifth book of the New York Times best-selling series that began with Chiefs.
When a prominent conservative politician is killed inside his lakeside cabin, authorities have no suspect in sight. And two more seemingly different deaths might be linked to the same murderer. From a quiet DC suburb to the corridors of power to a deserted island hideaway in Maine, Will; his CIA director wife, Kate; and the FBI will track their man, set a trap - and await the most dangerous kind of quarry: a killer with a cause to die for....

Narration Detracted from Story

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I listened to the 2004 CD of this title. The reader from that CD was excellent and enhanced the story. However, this reader's phrasing and slow speed significantly detracted from the story

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Slow speed, annoying end-of-sentence phrasing, poorly paced

I cant get through it with this narrator

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

The story is good but I just cant listen to it.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

I like the story but cant listen to his voice.

What didn’t you like about Stephen Hoye’s performance?

Humdrum slow voice with emphases in wrong places. Didn't do voices different enough.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Capital Crimes?

none
