Publisher's summary

Amanda Harper's life has changed a lot in the few weeks since she met Tempest Michaels.
Working out her notice period in Kent Police, she has already taken a new job as a paranormal investigator to work alongside him. She could be interested in Tempest, but even after she arrested (thankfully he was innocent) Brett Barker, the single, athletic multimillionaire heir to the Barker family fortune, he still wants to take her on a date to Paris in his helicopter.

How does a girl say no to that?

But Tempest has a case for her to look into: There is an elevator in a nearby shopping center that has a ghost in it. The specter has shown up on a photograph, and people's belongings have gone missing from inside the lift without anyone getting on or off. The shopping center manager wants the case solved, but will she be able to bring the spook into the daylight and reveal its true nature? Or will she get stuck in the dicksand with Brett like sassy best friend and police colleague Patience Woods predicts, and just be too distracted to solve crimes?

It is time to find out if she can be who she wants to be in both her professional and personal lives.
Best big girl knickers on.

Good character info, too short, narrator ok.

This is ok for a short story, but not worth even half a credit. Disappointed. Even though I’ve now listened 5 other books in the series, with 3 different narrators who had varying levels or success, this now 4th narrator is not a favourite either since I’ve heard who voiced Amanda in book 13 and now that is her voice in my head. Still, this gal is not terrible.

loved the story

reader or editing needs some work but still good. book was better as the voice in my head matched the way I read it. that is neither here nor there.

It's very nice.

The story was pretty good. It makes me want to check out the others. I really wanted to give it all 5 stars, but the narrator had a few do-overs in the last chapter which weren't corrected.

I was given a free review copy audiobook at my request by the author and have voluntarily left this review.

Interesting

This was an interesting listen. My favorite character though was Patience. She cracked me up from beginning to end! The overall story was alright. I found myself entertained while Patience was in the picture and drifting a bit the rest of the time. It's not a bad story, not at all. It just didn't keep my entire attention from beginning to end. Would I read/listen to another by these authors? Yes, yes I would. The narration was okay. I found a few editing problems but nothing that took away from story. If you enjoy cozy ghost mysteries then this will be a series worth your time to check out.

Too much fun!

situational-humor, verbal-humor, investigation, laugh-out-loud

Amanda is working out her two weeks notice from the police department and transitioning into her new job as an investigator for Blue Moon Paranormal Investigations. She asks her zany coworker Patience to give her a hand with her first assignment only to find out that Patience fears ghosts. Lots of fun complete with a personal laugh and groan situation at the end.

Joining the team

This is a story of Amanda's first case for Tempest Michaels. She is meticulous and quickly solves her first case on her own. I can't wait to see what other adventures .she encounters and how her relationship develops with her new boyfriend. A quick and entertaining read with adventure.

Enjoyable short read/listen

My first (short) read/listen from authors Steve & Gemma Higgs. Well written & enjoyable reminiscent of authors Emma Calin & Jennifer Stevenson. Narrator Hannah Richter’s voice was perfect for this book and added to the listening enjoyment. Since I own both the Kindle & Audible editions I was able to follow along while being read to. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Great Parallel Story

The reader has a pleasant voice and is easy to listen to. The occasional playback stuttering is a bit disrupting. The story-- well the story nicely fills in some blanks that other Bluemoon Investigation books have left and I really enjoyed learning about the life of another character in the series.
