Publisher's summary

At long last, the third installment in the Andrew Z. Thomas series and prequel to Crouch's and Konrath's thriller Stirred...

Somehow, Luther Kite has found them.

Following the events of Desert Places and Locked Doors, Andy Thomas and Violet King are hiding out in the wilds of northern Canada, where Violet has a four-month-old son and a burgeoning romance with Andy. On a cold, rainy night at their cabin in the woods, the promise of an idyllic life that seems just around the corner is shattered when a man from their past, a monster of pure malevolence, returns. What he has in store for them will challenge their understanding of evil and stretch the fibers of their love to the breaking point.

Great third book in this series.

So the tables get turned in this 3rd book of the Luther Kite series. It was much shorter than I expected although it says it is a novella and the price reflects that. This was clearly my fault for not reading the full description. I still highly enjoyed and found it worth reading. I especially liked the ending. Not sure where the bad reviews are coming from especially the ones stating this is not his typical writing for this series or that it us not a thriller because it is. And I even read one that said it was just a love story and that it is not except to describe relationships and where the characters are in life.

All wrapped up!

Fantastic ending to a great story. I loved the way that Crouch finished the book. I am not going to spoil anything, but .... pretty intense. This whole book was intense! Great writing.

Story was not bad...

Could have been a lot better. The first 2 hours I kept thinking "how does this make someone snap?" The premise to one of my favorite Jack Daniels book was a let-down. Ending was the savior of the story, but it was like watching 2 hours of someone rowing a boat

Fantastic ending to the series

Dislikes, nothing. The narrator is fantastic the story is even better. The end however... not expected which made this novella and even better ending to the series. Blake crouch is a fantastic writer.

Un-Fkng-believable

This story pissed me off, specifically the ending. Had I know, I might not have bought it (not really). I mean with all that happened....why would it ever end this way? I'm mad at Crouch right now. I'm glad I read/listened to some of his other titles before this trilogy because if I didn't..... Man! I'm pissed.

Break You.

Great narrator but felt the story unfinished. Maybe a more uplifting ending instead too many pointless unfinished endings going through my head. left with negative depressing feelings. Will not read anotherbook from this writer. who wants to feel totally depressed? not me. I don't like things left broken. suppose the total is apt.

I'm so disturbed.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I don't know.

What could Blake Crouch have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Have good overcome evil.

What does Eric G. Dove bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He brings it to life. He puts me there as an observer.

Could you see Break You being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

No.

Any additional comments?

I may be one of those sappy people who likes good to overcome evil. This book left me depressed, sorrowful, and disturbed. It was just time badly invested in a trilogy that regressed.
