Publisher's Summary

Hoping for a fresh start and a clean slate, McMorrow has a new home in the cheerful-sounding town of Prosperity, Maine. But nothing ever goes easy for Jack, so when a freelance gig leads him to a teen mother and some high school hooligans, it's not child's play. A girl is murdered and Jack's investigation places him squarely in the killer's sights.

Holy Batman

Who knew that just writing an article on teenage pregnancy could become a murder mystery especially in the rural town of "Prosperity" Maine, which has little prosperity. This is my first Jack McMorrow Mystery and will read Book 1, which might help me with understanding the characters more, however, I did enjoy the book and the book does make you think of teenage pregnancy, as well as does the mother allow the cycle to continue or does she think of more than just herself and think of what might be best for the child and giving the child opportunities that she knows that she never could in "Prosperity" Maine.

The narrator did a good job, however, there were portions of the book where it was stop, go, stop and go and the reading was not a fluid, natural path...almost like this first the first time reading the book, but all in all was pretty good.

Awesome mystery

This isn't my first Jack McMorrow mystery and it didn't disappoint. I loved the characters, the story line kept me guessingand the narrator did a great job making the characters believable and relatable. Can't wait for the next book.
