Robotham and Barrett.
Downloaded 'Bleed for Me' after listening to ''The Wreckage'. Apart from being great stories, well told, I am finding that the situations used are ones I could perhaps skip away from, only to find when I bit the 'bullet' and started listening I found myself interested and engaged. Being written mostly in first person, present tense does bring an immediacy to the story. The pace is consistent to the end. A good listen.
I am not surprised Michael Robotham has won The Ned Kelly twice, and is in good company with Peter Temple (also a winner of The Ned Kelly).

This is an evenly paced novel that is brilliantly narrated. Robotham's first person writing style is great.

I have listened to three other Michael Robotham books; The Suspect, Shatter, and Lost. Bleed for Me has topped all of them.
I couldn't wait to get back to it when I had to pause or stop the track. The story twists and turns and is peppered with interesting characters that have a lot of depth. Michael Robotham has obviously honed his writing skills as there is detail where needed and the pacing is pretty spot on. I highly recommend this read to anyone, especially those who like detective thrillers and if you liked Shatter you will definitely like this.

Absolutely brilliant, time just raced by listening to this, I was so disappointed when it ended, my only gripe is that there are too few of this authors audio books available. I cannot wait for the next one. The narrator was just right as well. He brought each character to life.

well narrated, profound language, understanding of human nature, with a good mix of humour, captivating story
How excellent can excellent be? This is great writing; a riveting story that's at one moment way too soul rending and then in the next suddenly, lip twitchingly amusing. Part of a wonderful series that has great characters with endearing depth, along with compelling plots that will keep you on the edge of your proverbial seat until the very last sentence. Highly recommended for fans of this genre, indeed unmissable. Sean Barrett is my favourite narrator and often he makes you forget that only one person is reading; fabulous acting as always. Highest rating possible from me all round.
