Publisher's summary

Is there a serial killer in Taos? It’s the height of the wedding season at Sweet’s Sweets and Sam has all she can do to stay ahead of the rush of bakery orders. Plus, her side job - breaking into houses - isn’t allowing much summer time off either. Not to mention that her mother is pressuring Sam and Beau to set a wedding date. When Sam encounters two older women who then die suddenly, it appears that there may be a serial killer on the loose. Sam and Beau are shocked to consider that Beau’s own mother may have been an earlier victim of someone who operates by preying on the women’s trusting natures. As they begin to investigate, a number of suspects emerge and it looks like someone is desperate to keep Sam quiet.

Saying I Do . . . To Murder

Book five in the series finds Samantha overworked in the month of June, making wedding cakes and still working for the USDA inspecting and cleaning houses that are about to go up for auction. When a couple of newly married older ladies die after being admitted to rehab centers, and one of their homes is about to be auctioned off, Samantha and local police chief, Beau get suspicious. It just happens to be the rehab center that Beau's own mother was in when she had her stroke . . . and died. As little clues start popping up, Beau and Sam keep trying to connect them . . . and keep another bride from being murdered. Weighing heavy on Beau's mind is whether or not his own mother was the victim of foul play . . . the story is nicely done and I didn't figure out who was behind the killings . . . good suspense and great resolution!
