Publisher's summary

A young woman lies dead at the bottom of a waterfall, dressed in a wedding gown with a rose stem jammed down her throat. And in the small town of Graveyard Falls, the horrifying vision stirs a long-ago nightmare back to life....

FBI Special Agent Cal Coulter gets called in to investigate the murder, which bears a terrifying resemblance to a series of killings committed thirty years ago: three teenage girls were found dead at the waterfall's base, all bearing rose stems in their throats. But the high school football star was convicted and imprisoned for those murders, leading Cal to suspect that the killer is still out there.

Now, the body count is rising again. The monster's sights are set on counselor Mona Monroe, Cal's best friend's widow...and the woman he's always loved. Can Cal stop the killer before Mona becomes the next victim?

Wonderful..

Any additional comments?

LOL… So, the first thing I’d want to do, if I lived in Graveyard Falls, is move. That’s a creepy name for a town.

However, this was a fabulous book. I loved everything about it. The players were great. Cal and Mona were an awesome pairing. I really liked Anna and Josie, and how THAT all worked out. Didn’t really like Carol Little but what happened to her was a shame. Liked Deputy Kimball. Sheriff Buckley was just a horrible creep. The 3 bad guys were simply sick, although I did feel real sorry for the kid.

As always there was not an ounce of sexual tension is this book but some seriously explicit sex.

And the F-BOMB was used 8 times. Not that it bothers me but I know it bothers a lot of you.

I got this book through KU.

As to the narrator: I simply love Eric Dove. The men sound sexy and the women sound like women. It's always a pleasure to listen to him.

Good engaging story, Great narration.

A Good serial killer mystery by Rita Herron. I can't say the romance portion was real prevalent in the book but the mystery serial killer portion was good. The romance part seemed more thrown into the story. There really was no chemistry between the two, because they new each other for years, but always had an attraction to each other, but she ended up marrying his best friend. So there was no lead up to the romance or any sort of get to know each other. There was one sex scene, nicely written, not erotica.

The story line and plot were good and engaging. I liked the murder mystery. It had me guessing for sure. A few twists that were interesting. Rita Herron likes to kill people in her books LOL.

There was lots of dialogue throughout the entire book, which was great.

As for the narration it was fantastic as usual. Eric Dove is one of the best male narrators. He gives everyone their own distinct voice, all the women sound like women. His reading voice is wonderful and engaging. Love listening to him.

Didn't See That Coming

Just when I thought I figured out how it all came together, I was so wrong. I was glad to be surprised.

Lifetime would be so proud.

I like the authors writing in that she's good at drawing things out. But there was way to much going on in this story. It was like she just had a bunch of ideas and was like well let's see what we can make. The sad thing is that each one of the storylines that weaved through the tale could have made a good novel on there own especially if they had been together. The fact that she made me enjoy the book only makes it that much sadder it means she has the potential to be such a great writer.

tl, dr: Writer has skills but had to much going on.

Way over the top.

If you enjoy wordy, endless, soporific soap operas, you'll love this. Too many plots. Too many words. On and on and on. Good grief.

Not impressed

Narration was AWFUL, sounded like he never read the book before, and no feeling. I guessed the ending in the beginning, twists that I saw coming. I never leave reviews, but this book, and the narration was bad.

Was the wrong man convicted?

Would you try another book from Rita Herron and/or Eric G. Dove?

If I found one that had high reviews or sounded good then I would try another one. The book wasn't bad, it was just average.

Would you recommend All the Beautiful Brides to your friends? Why or why not?

I probably would. It had a good story line, and there were a few twists that were unexpected. It isn't one I would say is a "must read" kind of book, but one that if asked about I would say it a pretty good read. It just isn't a book that stands out in my mind and not one I would plan on reading again

What does Eric G. Dove bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He was a good narrator and even some of the female voices were good. I can't say that he is the best I've heard, but I would listen to him again.

Could you see All the Beautiful Brides being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

I really don't see this as a series. It could probably be made into a movie, maybe on Lifetime, not big screen material. That is just my opinion. I did read some reviews that had 4 & 5 stars, so others found it to be really good.

Any additional comments?

I don't regret spending a credit on this book, and if the synopsis appeals to you, then by all means give it a try. All books can't be 5 star reads, and average isn't bad.
