Publisher's Summary

Amateur sleuth Agatha Raisin is going through a man-hating phase and is unmoved by news of a captivating new curate. But when she meets the golden-haired, blue-eyed Tristan Delon, she is swept off her feet...along with every other female in the village. She is positively ecstatic when he invites her to dine with him, but the next day Agatha is left with a hangover from hell and Tristan is worse off: he's dead.

Love my Agatha Raisin stories!

Penelope Keith is a wonderful reader rendering the characters just as I thought they would sound.

A potential leave-off to Agatha's arch nemesis

Once again this was another good story in a great series. I cannot overemphasize how fantastic Penelope Keith is as a narrator. It goes beyond dialects, gender, intonation. ..she literally becomes the character and she is the personification of Agatha Raisin. Bravo.
Agatha has done well thus far, dealing with "her murderers" with aplomb, but she might have bitten off more than she can chew. Her latest nemesis has strong and various ties to the criminal underground. He has been imprisoned and thus may not be an issue......
However, this remains to be seen.
