Publisher's Summary

Agatha Raisin's detective agency has become so successful that now all she wants is some R&R. But as soon as she cuts back her hours, Agatha remembers that when she has too much quality time, she doesn't know what to do with it. So it doesn't take much for the vicar of a nearby village to persuade her to help publicize the church fete, especially when the fair's organizer, George Selby, happens to be a gorgeous widower. The problem is that several of the offerings in the jam-tasting booth turn out to be poisoned, and the festive family event soon becomes a murder scene. Now Agatha must uncover the truth behind the jam tampering and expose the nasty secrets lurking in the seemingly innocent village - all while falling for handsome George, who just may have some secrets of his own.

Wanda McCaddon is NOT Penelope Keith.!!

I love Agatha Raisin & adored all of the series until I got to this stinker... The narrator makes or ,.. in this case breaks
a book.. I've been spoiled by Penelope Keith .. her change of tone and voice for every character.. her inflections and timing are superb..the cast of characters come alive and I happily immerse myself for hours on end with them...
This narrator in the role was flat, monotoned, devoid of depth.. what a pity.. Wanda is capable in other narratives,.. but she is NOT Agatha...
I asked for a refund on this one..

Grow up Agatha and Ms. Beaton . ...GRRRRR

Agatha needs to quit being so passive-aggressive and Ms. Beaton needs to quit using her books to bitch about non-smoking laws. If you want to smoke fine, but I should have a choice not to inhale air that can kill me due to your second-hand smoking. Beaton went on three or four diatribes complaining of the infringement upon the liberties of smokers.
Shut up Ms. Beaton. I love your books, but don't ruin them due to your lack of willpower and support of a filthy, deadly habit..
