The primary character is recovering from the loss of his wife of nearly 25 years. He uses the experience of his past to rescue a stranger and then protects that person from an attempted kidnapping. The scenes of the book are set in present-day rural West Texas with events occurring in Houston and on Galveston Island. The author uses colorful descriptions of the areas, people, and actions to draw in the listener. The story touches upon attempts to bring an old fashioned ranch into the era of "green technology" and the rancher's family's philosophy of caring for those they employ. Adventure and Romance for grandparients

What did you love best about A Reluctant White Knight?

What I liked most about the book was that there was an adventure in every chapter. The narrator added a lot to the characters. Some of the adventures were a little hard to belive but still entertaining.

What about Joshua Bennington’s performance did you like?

This is the second book I have run into Joshua Benning, the other one was Lethal Injection. He is a good voice actor and gave the audiobook more life than the written version.

Any additional comments?

I wish there were more books about older adults. I was happy to see this book had no bad langue or sex scenes. Some people may be disappointed with out the bad langueor the sex scenes but I thought the book did will without them. I really liked the narrator and hope to hear more of his books.

What made the experience of listening to A Reluctant White Knight the most enjoyable?

I liked the fact that it was a good story and it was about an older adult still having an adventure in life.

Any additional comments?

I gave this book a 5 star review because the subject was older adults and they were not reminiscing about how great their lives were but how great they were going to be. I also liked the narration. Joshua Bennington gave each character his own voice and there fore his own personality.
