Publisher's summary

She has no idea what she’s doing. Loose cannons never hit their targets, and they take out plenty of collateral damage.

Four years ago, Lindsay experienced the unspeakable right before me, and I couldn’t stop them. But that’s all changed now. When her father, Senator Bosworth, contacted me to ask - demand - that I protect her, it was a second chance. A shot at redemption. An opportunity to right an unspeakable wrong.

Controlling Lindsay as she seeks her revenge on the monsters who hurt her won’t be hard. Containing my own out-of-control feelings for Lindsay and keeping up this ruse of cold-blooded distance will be; even harder than admitting to her what really happened that night four years ago.

It turns out I don’t have to, though. Someone else did it for me. And I’ll make sure they regret it.

A Harmless Little Ruse is the second audiobook in this political thriller/romantic suspense trilogy by USA Today best-selling author Meli Raine and is entirely from Drew’s perspective.

Good story but it’s a Cliffhanger

I liked the story. The narrator is one of my favorites. I didn’t like using 3 credits just to get to the end of the story.

Could have skipped this one

The storyline in this installment doesn’t pick up until the last hour and a half if you want to jump ahead. This installment doesn’t really add anything to the series. Also, the narration was annoying.

Good

Sebastian York perfct as always. The only thing that really bothers me is that repeat over and over the damn frase "for four years", very annoying since book 1

Great Story

This second installment gets better. Things are starting to heat up beyween Drew and Lindsey. The thrill and suspense continues in this book. My suspicion about who may be playing about in their demise seems to be correct. Sebastian York is doing an amazing job with narration. I must see how this all play out so onto the last book.

Liked this One Better

Book one was OK, this was much better. There was still a lot of drama based on everyone keeping secrets and no one talking but I did like it better from the male POV. Of course Sebastian York is amazing and makes every story worth listening to.

Sex Lies and Sabotage bk 2

Lindsay has no idea how to get revenge but she wants it. Problem is no one knows who all the characters are in this game of deceit where they are setting her and Drew up to be both victim and offender.

Senator Bosworth and his wife are all about "image" and how it will look to the public as he runs for President. They are attempting to control Lindsay and care more about public perception than what happens to Lindsay. As Lindsay and long time boyfriend Drew uncover more clues, they discover that not only they've been blamed, but it would appear they set up each situation to look for sympathy.

Sebastian York does an amazing job at narrating this story and bringing attitude to a slimy run to the white house.
