Going on a supernatural ride based in the south, where I'm from!

it's definitely intriguing!

The main character. It's very easy to imagine yourself as part of the pack.

Any additional comments?
This is a great start for a budding writer. As Ann Riley keeps writing, I know her talent will continue to improve. I look for to less "I said" or so and so "said" in future books. The narrator did a good job with the accent.

Would you try another book from Ann Riley and/or Amanda Goolsby?
Yes, the story line is pretty decent and they're shorter stories compared to what I normally read so they are good to get me in to something a little different than normal.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Didn't really have a favorite
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Amanda Goolsby?
I don't listen to many books so I don't feel that I can answer this due to a lack of knowledge of narrators.

My biggest complaint about this series is that it sometimes feels like the story was being pushed to the back burner to get the sex scenes in. There's nothing wrong with a good sex scene in a book but these felt like they were starting to become the main focus in the last 2 books. The narration in this book was a little predictive. One of the many reasons that's kept me from publishing a book of my own...Narration is hard! It seemed like after every time someone talked, the sentence ended in "said Fynn" or "Nick said." There was not a lot of variation in there. When it's clearly a conversation between 2 people, I don't feel like I need to be told who is saying what after every sentence and there are other ways to indicate who is talking. There was also a lot of nodding in the series. Again, I would prefer to see some variations in the book here - other ways to show agreement. Overall, I enjoyed the story and would listen to more in the series if they come out. It's a nice change to the material I normally read and the stories are short enough that I can listen to them on my commute in just a few trips. Also, as a note to the narrator of this book, I would like to see/hear a little more change in your voice when someone should be feeling a certain emotion. In the first book, Claire should've sounded more sad or mournful. In some instances, she almost sounded chipper.
