Publisher's summary

A companion (alternate POV) novel to the USA Today best-selling book Leo.

Does everyone deserve a second chance? Even someone who lies and deceives to get it? Do we all have a second chance coming? Even if we play a part in our own destruction? How hard would you fight to have a second chance at love? A second chance at life? Another chance to tell your own story? Every love story has two sides. Evie told hers. This time it's Leo's chance.

This is a POV novel of Leo (Leo should be listened to first).

New Adult Contemporary Romance: Due to strong language and sexual content, this audiobook is not intended for listeners under the age of 18.

Gritty, deep and makes your heart beat.

What did you like best about this story?

That Leo was so afraid of showing who he really was for fear of judgement and she loved him anyway.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes for sure!

Keep the Kleenex handy

I loved the idea of hearing this love story from both sides.

I a little upset by the epilogue though. In Leo their children are girls, but in Leo's Chance they have boys.

The editor or somebody should have caught that mistake.

Repetitive

I really enjoyed this story and it’s previous one titled “Leo.” The Story was very good, but this POV novel was too repetitive for my liking. I would have preferred it be one book with POV alternating in titled chapters given separately by Evie and Leo. I feel the only real difference in this book “ Leo’s Chance” was the last 2 chapters where he told us what happened to his adopted mother, and how he and Evie rose above their horrific pasts and turned what happened to them into a dream to give other children what they never had. A truly inspiring and happy ending after hearing their tragic tails. I feel this book was the stronger of the two... but again wished they were presented as one book expressing each of their points of view.

loved

Leo and Leo's chance are must reads and listen too. I first read the book and hoped that listening to it wouldn't ruin it for me but it did just the opposite. I fell in love with the book but I will say have tissues for some parts. You feel their pain and it broke my heart since I had adopted 3 cps children whom were older kids 13,11, 9 and siblings, I knew their pain from the homes they came from but to think that they could have ended up in a home like Leo broke my heart. this book should open people's eyes to the struggle of the system that fails 99 percent of kids that go into the system.

Wow

This was a very rough read, but not because the writing is bad. Make sure you read Leo, first. This is a companion novel to that.

The themes in these books are not for the faint of heart because it deals with various forms of child abuse and the aftermaths.

This book really had me crying, but it's one of those good release cries. Thankfully, Leo and Evie truly get their happy ending.

Practically the same book...

The same story as Leo, the only differences were it was from Leo's point of view and had a few additional scenes.. There wasn't enough new material to justify a second 7+ hour book in my opinion.
Great narration though!

One of my favorites!

Tears! It never fails. This Leo’s Chance always makes me cry. I’ve read it multiple times and it always gets me more emotions. Absolutely one of my favorite books.

This is my first time listening to the audio book. Joe Arden did a phenomenal job! He brought Leo to life in a spectacular way.

2nd version

I listened to both Leo and Leo’s second chance. I like reading both sides of the story. I prefer Leo version but both are pretty good.

I should have listened to other reviewers

Leo (book 1) and Leo’s Chance should have been combined to 1 book. I loved the first book and this one is the same story, just told from Leo’s view. Much of the writing is identical and it left so much more to be desired. Definitely some missed opportunities to dig into Leo’s life further. Love the story line but wish it gave a little more.
