Critic reviews

"Pimsleur programs provide plenty of positive reinforcement that will keep learners on track, and we found that Pimsleur gave us more proficiency and confidence in speaking the new language than any of the other language programs we reviewed." ( AudioFile magazine)

good intro into the teaching method of pimsleur

15 minutes is a explanation of the style of teaching followed by a very basic but useful Thai lesson. I've used books, apps, and a private tutor. This feels like the best audio book teaching style I've heard yet. the difference in style is subtle, but significant.
the lesson is
"excuse me, do you understand English?"
"no I don't understand English"
"do you understand Thai?"
"yes, I understand Thai a little bit"

This method works!

I swear by the Pimsleur method. It works every time. I have used it to learn several languages. On its own it is fantastic. When used in conjunction with other methods like "Vocabulearn" or some other vocabulary-building or phrase-building module, it is superb and will have you fluent in no time.

Better than I thought it would be.

About 50 years ago I left Thailand after a year and half. It helps to have had some experience because I must have learned some regional words and GI-isims. One tip, don't over think it.
