The Pimsleur® Method: the easiest, fastest way to learn a new language. Completely portable, easily downloadable, and lots of fun. You’ll be speaking and understanding in no time flat! Tagalog Phase 1, Units 1-5 build on material taught in prior units. Each lesson provides 30 minutes of spoken language practice, with an introductory conversation, and new vocabulary and structures. Detailed instructions enable you to understand and participate in the conversation. Each lesson contains practice for vocabulary introduced in previous lessons. The emphasis is on pronunciation and comprehension, and on learning to speak Tagalog.
"Pimsleur programs provide plenty of positive reinforcement that will keep learners on track, and we found that Pimsleur gave us more proficiency and confidence in speaking the new language than any of the other language programs we reviewed." (AudioFile magazine)

Pimsleur quality BUT only one audio file :(
Pimsleur are a great entry point into languages.
DEFINITELY NOT! The Pimsleur system suggests never listening to more than one unit a day. Unfortunately, all 5 units are on the same audio file (rather than being broken up into 5 different files).Having 5 separate files (one per unit) would make much more sense for me as a learner. That way I could copy the unit I want to listen to on to my iPod. Currently I'm unaware of a way to quickly get to the start of the latter units.
I absolutely love Pimsleur as a way to begin learning a new language. However, having just one audio file for units 1-5 is a serious drawback for my preferred method of study.

Speaker needs to talk a little slower.
If speaker spoke slower while speaking and not just slow for 1 word at a time it would be a better product. I find it useless the way it is done
