Expanded in this edition with more words, phrases, and helpful exercises, this program also features two brand-new sections. One of them is directed at health care receptionists, and the other deals with health insurance forms. This book is designed to help doctors, nurses, and medical assistants communicate in Spanish with Latino patients and their families who have little or no command of English. Every Spanish word in the book is followed by its phonetic pronunciation. The book also provides easy-to-follow tips on understanding colloquial spoken Spanish. Author William Harvey concentrates on words and phrases likely to be used in a medical setting. True-to-life dialogues dramatize situations pertaining to pregnancy, broken bones, pediatric care, heart and lung diseases, pharmacy prescriptions, drug problems, medical treatment of accident and crime victims, and much more.More

Rapid fire vocab list
This is not well done. It's just a rapid fire list of vocab. I am probably an advanced beginner/intermediate Spanish speaker, and I couldn't keep up- for words I didn't already know the speaker went too quickly and didn't have enough exercises to apply them. The Pimsleur series (also available on Audible) is a MUCH better method, although sadly doesn't have any medical themed CD's.
