Very good, but you need to know some Spanish

Learning another language involves 3 separate but interrelated skills: reading, understanding the spoken word, and speaking yourself. This title helped me speak better, and taught me some additional vocabulary. The format is that the phrase is first spoken in English, followed by a pause for you to translate it into Spanish. Then the Spanish speaker speaks the phrase with a pause for your to repeat it, and then says the phrase again with a pause. By practicing, and listening carefully to the Spanish speaker, you can develop a more authentic accent. Unless you have had an introduction to Spanish, and have some familiarity with the grammar and what spoken Spanish sounds like, I think this title could be frustrating and overwhelming.

Best Spanish book

It's much more effective if you put it on .75 speed since they aren't dropping their accents and it might be a little hard to follow.
