Af far as Italian language learning resources, Pimsleur is one of the best.
I now have the ability to converse fairly well in Italian, and am not afraid to head out on my own in unfamiliar situations.
This is an update after having completed all 30 lessons in the course. This level introduces more idioms, and day to day conversational phrases. More emphasis on tenses, such as " I should have telephoned first" etc. More vocabulary and more interpersonal emphasis. The first few courses seems to court business travelers, this one if for everyone trying to improve their language skills.
