Do it in a German way!

I tried books, school, and any other medium to learn at least “basic” German language and none of them caught my attention.

Tried this app, listened for a minute “thinking oh well I can give this a chance or something”, then another minute, and another, till I almost finished an hour!

I am a dynamic person and love to feel what I learn. The thing about this audio book makes it real, the narrators are good that as if they are beside you, although you cant see them but was able to visually describe things for you.

Will keep this on my phone!

Amazing Language Learning Tool

First audio book in my collection It's always been a bit hard to learn a language. This is a great way to learn German on the go. Speaker is easy to understand. He speaks the words at a regular conversation pace, and then slow enough so the listener hears which syllables to enunciate.

Definitely worthwhile

When I started listening to this audio-book I was slightly put out, since I haven't studied German in over ten years now. After a short while however, things really started to come together. After about half an hour I actually started to begin building up a decent picture of the stories, first by picking out the key words and then by inferring some that I hadn't heard before. I was actually very impressed, I thought I'd all but lost my initially limited knowledge of the language, but the stories are structured in such away to make them very accessible. I'm not sure how somebody with zero initial understanding of the language would cope, but i'm by no means conversational and this was definitely beneficial to me.

Great audiobook or beginners

Interesting and clear audio which is very easy for the beginners like me to understand German. Since I am new starter I have taken print out of all the chapters which helped me to understand well. Speaker was very slow and I felt comfortable and easy to learn. Chapters are well organized with proper pronunciation. Repeating the words and recap helped a lot in memorizing. When compared with websites and books I felt audio version as the best one.

Short and sweet with good English

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, I would recommend this book.
I have chosen German language because I learnt German language 15 years back and always wanted to buy a book to learn again because I forgot almost everything. This book was really good because we have a pdf and the voice was clear to understand so I can distinguish between each word. The good thing was that the hard words were concentrated as well so that we can understand the language. It is a good brush up for me and I will keep enjoying this audio book until I get some good knowledge on the language and then hopefully I will get onto next level of proficiency.

What other book might you compare German Short Stories for Beginners to, and why?

Cafe in Berlin

What does David Greiwe and Markus Kasanmascheff bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

The pre-explanation about how to download and use the pdf

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No
