Great book

What does Sheila Marie Nicholas bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

My favorite part was when the author made everything simple and made things so clear and concise to make this a very good audio book.
An excellent performance of narration.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes I was able to listen this in one sitting and I feel like I have some good ideas

Any additional comments?

I have always thought that learning a new language can be very hard. But after having this book I found out that all you need is courage. Courage in finding a great book that will offer you what you need and courage to do the learning process right away. Learning German is not as easy as we think, and that is what I like about this book, . I think this did a great job in compiling the commonly used phrases as well as learning the basics of the language such as pronunciation and grammar.

Not very helpful overall

I unfortunately didn't find this book very helpful. While I enjoyed listening through the first time it quickly became obvious to me something was missing.

My first suggestion is to name the chapters something other than chapter 1, chapter 2 etc. my suggestion is something more meaningful to the listener. This is one of the books weakness that prevents The listener from being able to learn more.

In this book she simply states the English word followed by the German Pronunciation. The book simply list word after word after word until all 500 I've been said. These are grouped into chapters that are topic related.
And the topics are not shown in the chapter index as I stated earlier.

Overall I did not find this book very helpful.
