Listen and learn

Parallel audio is the key to Lingo Jump's language-learning methodology. Through repetition of clearly pronounced words and phrases at a tempo that's easy to follow, you'll not only find it easier to understand and speak French, you'll also improve your memory, boost your listening skills, and pick up the correct accent.

Our speakers follow a specific speech pattern throughout the audiobook, making phrases predictable and helping you understand words and phrases through context. We keep you solely focused on the language, without any distracting background music.

Fast, effortless, and fun!

Lingo Jump’s unique parallel audio language learning system combines repetition, different speeds, and predictable speech patterns. Simply listening to the repeated phrases helps you pick up languages by instinct, preparing your brain for a language’s repeated patterns. It’s like we’re throwing a ball to you in the same way over and over so that soon you can catch it without thinking about it.

500 well chosen phrases, clearly articulated

This is my second language being drilled through this method. The first is Arabic. The authors have used the same English prompts, I believe, and followed with translations for each language. The French articulations that follow are superbly pronounced. As the individual course goes on, the French articulations are repeated in the same order (first English-French, prounounced a few times -fast, slow, fast; then just the French; then just the English-French, one time). This is very effective. Also there is no annoying music, lengthy self-advertisement, overly English explanation, etc.
I should note that I do not think this series is ideal for a pure beginner, but unlike the Arabic if you are a pure beginner you might still find it useful as 60 percent or so of English is derived from or heavily influenced by French.
As to criticisms, (1) the English pronunciation appears to be a "high" English dialect which is annoyingly peculiar for example in adding some -s plural's to the noun subject where singular is intended; (2) there is one English phrase that is missed - the English speaker just clears his throat. This then gets propagated within in the lesson, and if you are hearing the English prompts over more language lessons then you'll hear that again, over and over, and the irritation becomes magnified; (3) there is no French pronunciation followed by English definition set of phrases within the group of lessons.
On the whole this is an excellent way to learn while doing something else like driving, and I highly recommend it. A .very detailed pdf which shows the phrases pronounced is included.
A legitimate system by the way (unlike another series being aggressively reviewed - buyer beware).
