What did you love best about French Phase 1, Unit 01-05?

It makes you repeat the phases and makes you think since the narrator will ask you to say phases in different ways. I tried other programs and so far this is the best. It also focuses on phases that are important to start with. Lastly and most importantly, it helps you learn how to say things correctly because each syllable is broken down and you are supposed to sound out then out (on certain words). Questionable methodology.

"Don't write anything down. Don't learn to spell. Being able to read and write will kill your ability to pronounce anything." Right. How can you really say you know a language if you can't read and write? Maybe if you just want to talk to people (and show off), this would work, but I want to learn languages to read books. Learning pronunciation without spelling made me feel like I knew less than I did when I started. Maybe if you're less visually-minded than I am, this would work, but it didn't work for me.
