Needs a booklet companion to be useful

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Very hard to follow. Basically the narrator is reading a book, and you don't have the benefit of seeing the graphics that go with his words. Basically useless.

Perfect Helpful Refresher Course - Great Narration

After three years of high school French, a million years ago. This instructive book brought a lot of it back. I don't know if one had no background in French that one would learn French fast, as the title boasts. But for me it was a great refresher. It would definitely help me with the basics on my next visit to Canada or dare I dream, France!

The book is broken down into sections teaching you: (I found this the most helpful chapter) Pronunciation -for sounds that the are not included in the English language, Numbers, Common Phrases, etc.

Adam Zens narration is excellent. The pronunciation and cadence reminded me of the French exchange students and Monsieur Powell – beloved French teacher. There is no way a narrator would be able to perform this book without a working knowledge of the spoken language.
