I had my fifth grade history classes listen to this during our chapter on WWII and the Holocaust. It helped them understand what it was like for Jews in a way that was honest yet completely appropriate for young minds at a very conservative private school.

This is probably one of my most memorable stories ever. It has such a great plot that I, myself, feel admired about this unlucky woman. This also tells us the cruelty of the Nazis to those innocent Jews, who are beautiful and intelligent, just like her. In short, this is a very great story.
About the narrator, I am pretty pleased, but I hope that they will add some music, so that the story itself will become much more interesting to readers.
Looking forward to more interesting Who was books!
Nice overview of Anne's life. Not full of quotes from the diary, but good as a stand alone biography in its own right. If playing to younger or more sensitive children, listen through yourself first. You might prefer to skip the last 2 chapters and just briefly summarise in your own words that although she died, her diary was found and published and became famous worldwide. The Anne Frank House museum has a virtual version of the hiding place on its website which would be an excellent accompaniment to this audio book.
