Critic Reviews

"Cassie recounts harrowing events during late 1941. An engrossing picture of fine young people endeavoring to find the right way in a world that persistently wrongs them." (Kirkus Reviews)

Great Book

Love this book! Mildred D. Taylor is a wonderful author that tackles the very unpleasant, harsh reality of black people living in the Jim Crow south, with loveable, witty characters. This is the last book in her series involving the Logan family. I highly recommend her books!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
