Publisher's summary

As a member of the most powerful family history has ever known, 13-year-old Dan Cahill has been shot at, kidnapped, and even thrown into a pit with a deadly snake. He’s survived it all due to luck, smarts, and his older sister, Amy, who always sticks by his side.

Now Dan and Amy are facing their greatest threat yet, an enemy who has found a way to use the source of the Cahill family power against them. To stop him, Dan and Amy must set out on a desperate mission that will take them from one of the world’s hottest regions all the way to the frozen blast of the Arctic Circle. But with the enemy closing in, Dan finds himself facing one terror he never imagined - being betrayed by his own sister.

the friend and family bonds

with the help of Jake, Atticus, Joanna, Ian, and their new tech guy Amy and Dan are on another adventure around the world. These books do not really contain the exciting adventurous race that we saw in the first book series but they are still very good and keep you interested and rooting for the Cahill family. As usual they are racing against time to save the world and find out what the bad guys want but now there are secrets and arguments between the family which was not there since the first series it is making finding the clues a lot harder and it is starting to create trust issues between Amy, Dan and the others. In this book I think that Amy has some growing up to do and some self searching to do, I understand she is trying to look out for her friends and family and she does not want to see anyone else get hurt but in her process of trying to do that she is hurting everyone and may end up hurting herself. Can the bond that everyone has last through this troubling time that they are going through or will it break the friendship and family bond?

It’s fine

It is good but I would like it more if it were less repetitive the characters NEVER die it’s kinda annoying but overall it is a fine book but I like the first 39 book 1-10 WAY more so there is your review.

GOOD SECOND BOOK

I enjoyed all the 39 Clues books. They do get kind of same-o-same, but for kids it can be exciting.

Good Story, Subpar reading

I don't like Pittu's narration. His voices for some characters sound too similar, and for others, they don't make sense. Atticus Rosenbloom is ten years old and is described as hyper. Why would Pittu choose a voice that makes Atticus sound like a wheezing old man?

THIS IS NOT BOOK 2!

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I got very confused when I first started listening to this after listening to book 1: The Maze of Bones. It is very clear within a couple minutes of starting chapter 2 that there is a whole book missing between The Maze of Bones and Unstoppable. I don't know why Audible has it mislabeled, but this is actually book 3 in the series; One False Note is the second book.

What could Jeff Hirsch have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

My problem is strictly with Audible labeling this as the second book. I'm sure that once I have finished the real second book that I will enjoy this one.

How could the performance have been better?

What little I listened to was good.

Could you see The 39 Clues: Unstoppable, Book 2 being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

They would probably need to use multiple books to make a good movie, but it could work.
