Strega Nona

I loved the accent on the narrator. It made the story seem even more authentic. I did not like the music at all. I found it to be extremely distracting and louder than the actual reading.

Great audio, but not Pagan or Gentle Parenting.

The audio quality is fantastic, and I love, love, love that the app actually shoes pages from the book (why it doesn't have this feature for other kids books, is beyond me).

However, for any Pagans, or Gentle Parenting parents, I don't recommend it. The only way it might be accurate as far as paganism is how a little old lady may be visited for occult favors. That's it. The end. The actual magic she performs is completely unrealistic, and a mockery, as far as I'm concerned.

When it comes to Gentle Parenting, the punishment the boy receives for messing with her magic pot, is to eat all the pasta that overflowed into the town. A more realistic "punishment to fit the crime" would have simply had him cleaning it up, not endanger his health from overeating food that has been in the dirt.
