Five years later, Gracie, Emme and Violet take a journey around the block with their new unusual red wagon when they meet three new boys in the neighborhood. The boys live in the most run-down and spooky house on the block and become very curious about the unusual metal star words "Reach for the Stars" on the sides of the wagon and have to examine the wagon from top to bottom. The children become good friends when a mystery unfolds pertaining to the boys' home. Their mother, Hetty, is a soft and sweet lady that has quite the job ahead of her to restore her newly purchased home, but why would anyone buy this broken-down shack, the girls wondered? Unusual things are discovered in Hetty's home that would normally belong in a school science laboratory as well as hearing strange noises in the middle of the night and finding something totally hidden from view.

He has been nourishing a little wooden box buried in his vegetable garden for many years now and his instincts are finally telling him that he will soon need to dig it up and inspect its contents.
Aunt Bernice owns a jewelry shop. She creates her jewelry pieces in her basement, a place the girls have been allowed to see. Everyone admires her creations and tells her that they have never seen such brilliant sparkling stones before. Only Grandpa Teddy knows where she gets them.
One day Aunt Bernice bestows something special to each one of her nieces. She never imagined having to explain about her secret life and she tells them that no one must know, not even their parents. What she tells them seems like a strange game, but soon find out they have the ability to star stream and much more.

Great family-friendly fantasy

I thought this was a really sweet book. I wish I had listened to this with my kids because I can see that people of all ages will enjoy it. I think the writing was great and every character and situation came alive in my imagination. I listened to the Audible audio version of this book narrated by June Skye. She was great! I haven't listened to anything narrated by her before, but I will definitely search her out now. She gave each character such a unique and fitting voice that it really added to the text. If you like family-friendly fantasy, this book is a must-read.
