Horrible choice of storytelling

I could not keep myself interested. The story is told in the form of someone trying to convince a 3-4 year old that they are Luke.

"You walk into the hangar and see Han Solo - He's your friend and almost like a big brother. chewbacca is also there fiddling with wires on the Falcon. chewbacca is a wookie, which means he stands up like a man, but is hairy like a gorilla or sasquatch thing.."

it's meant to make you feel and pretend to be Luke, and introduce you to the universe, but who would start at TESB ? ANH in the same series is very different, which ruins the experience of this book further.I wish they had let that author write TESB as well.

Mark Thompson is doing a wonderful voice-job as always!

Marc Thompson is a miracle worker

The story wouldn't have been so bad if they didn't start every sentence off w/ "you". Saying "you" doesn't make me think I'm Luke Skywalker, saying "I" does. That puts me in the character's shoes, not being told I'm him from another's perspective.
