Publisher's summary

This third entry from the much-loved Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew series finds the clever detective and her friends investigating a Houdini of a pony.

When a new petting zoo opens in town, Buttons becomes the star by escaping every night and showing up on someone else’s lawn to eat the flowers. Nancy quickly jumps on the case—because even though she’d love to see Buttons on her lawn one morning, it’s more important to keep him safe at the zoo.

Well, a little unrealistic...

So, it's not really realistic...
I know a lot about horses, and about him(the pony), started to eat berries...
horses will eat just about anything, so the pony only eating apples and berries just doesn't seem very likely for a horse/pony. But of course, not everybody is horseyalic like me. But Carolyn Keene lived in the time where everybody had horses. And the pony in the story must have a serouis medical issue if he doesn't like hay. But, that's just me. For non-horse-knowing people it's a really great story. It's my favorite so far.
