Editorial reviews

Seeking shelter from the rain, an ant decides to hide under a mushroom cap. Soon, the ant is joined by a butterfly, also searching for a dry spot. The butterfly is followed by a mouse, a sparrow, and even a rabbit - all looking for shelter under the mushroom. At first the ant doesn’t want to share his cover: How can all these animals fit under the same small mushroom? To find the answer, these animals must learn the secret of mushrooms in the rain.

Actress Erin Kiley is emotive and playful as she delivers children an important message about sharing and teamwork. Kiley employs careful pacing, highlighting the dilemma of each cover-seeking creature, ensuring young listeners will have no trouble following along. Suitable for ages three to six.

An Unexpected Delight

A simple story full of wonder and cooperation! Our 4-year-old was entranced, and we were equally delighted.
