Percy Jackson is the eponymous hero of the best-selling Percy Jackson and the Olympians series by Rick Riordan. He made his debut in The Lightning Thief at just 12 years old, where he discovered the shocking truth about his parentage: He is a demigod, the son of a mortal woman and the god Poseidon. Beyond his own series, he was one of the protagonists in the Heroes of Olympus series and has since appeared in other spin-off novels and series from Riordan.

Annoying

I found the voices in this production grating and annoying. With each new one I hoped that maybe there would be a different, better narrator, but no. It doesn't help that somehow RR's first-person-character writing style works better in a printed book than in an audio tale. The dialogue just felt stiff—compounded by the irritating narration. I'd recommend reading this one in print, but even then only if you've read every other book in any of the gods' series and are being a completist about it all.

loved every moment, I especially loved the use of different readers. It really helped bring the characters to life. Will definitely be listening to a second time.

Gritted my teeth no more

Heindalf an instagram obsessed little b, Thor a farting god, valkiries a food fighting army? Really Rick? Percy was mad at the gods, he kept them at bay, Carter Kane fought them with everything he had but now in this book series they are a circus, dumb, buffons parading around for what? I do not understand the point of making the gods look so ridiculous. Is it an American thing to ridiculize other cultures? Seems to me Nordic gods are being portrayed as nothing less than dumb savages that knew nothing more than say ‘sad face emoji’. I couldn’t make it pass thru the second chapter when I stopped the audiobook and will return it. It did stang since I have been a fan, waiting for the new book every year but maybe I grew too old for your books which its a shame, I enjoyed to having the concept of ancient gods in modern times, too bad now my powerful gods are being displayed as clowns who are only good to make teenagers laugh. ‘Sad face emoji’ indeed.

disappointing

I was disappointed in this book. not worth the money. I think a clear disclaimer is needed about the story line and contents.
