Better buy the cd's

The stories receive a perfect 5 star, the audible version of this collection receives a 2 star only!!!
I bought this collection on cd a while ago, downloaded them into itunes and then onto my kids' ipods. They loved the stories, they are very entertaining and wonderfully read. After we lost the cds, I just purchased this collection from audible. Although the stories etc. are the same, the problem I have with this version is that there are no separate books to pick from after downloading. You can only listen from the beginning to the end or try to find the next title by fast forwarding and pausing to listen where you are. This is a major flaw since my kids won't be able to pick the story they want to listen to but are forced to either listen from the beginning every time or try to find their favorite by fast forwarding (considering there are no titles etc. either it's REALLY hard to find the story you want). With book collections this should be incorporated in the download. Really a MAJOR flaw.

Amazing narrator!

Whoever cast Wendy Dillon as narrator had a stroke of genius! I can't imagine Junie B. sounding any other way, from voice to phrasing to emotion! And the stories themselves are hilarious and wonderfully written. As an elementary school music teacher, I've literally taught a couple thousand kindergarteners in my time. While Junie B. would definitely rank as precocious, she is true to her age (unlike the child characters most writers create). My son has had me listening to all of the stories in this collection many times over and I still get a kick out of them. Thank you, Barbara Park and Wendy Dillon!!!
