Inspiring Story

This is a wonderful story about a young girl's dream and a not so friendly chid who became her friend. It provides a great lesson to follow your dreams.

Cute and inspiring

If you could sum up If I Were Taylor Swift: Little Nia's Dream in three words, what would they be?

Great for kids

What did you like best about this story?

This story is very positive, and even has the "mean girl" turn around at the end. While we know this doesn't always happen, it's nice to think that it's possible.

Any additional comments?

My only critique is I personally think it was miscast. The narrator did a wonderful job with delivery, but as it is a first person narrative, I would have preferred a young american girl character telling it.

believe in yourself, and you can be a star

Would you listen to If I Were Taylor Swift: Little Nia's Dream again? Why?

Yes, the Narrator was so magical- the story flowed along and was believable and "real"- even though the lush British tones of that woman was clearly not a "little girl", her pronunciation and compelling voice made the story worth every second of listening. (And it was a nice length for a story- not too long, not burdened with heavy, extra details, but just enough to provide a beginning, a middle, and a happy ending).

What about Linda Roper’s performance did you like?

Her tone, and rich, fluent, precise manner of speaking- not stuck up or "royal family" kind of British, but yet not slangy American mumbling- this was proper "King's English". Her voice kept me going until the end, without getting tired of it.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Nia tries to audition the first time, and notices Tessa sitting in the auditorium, and then what happens next.
