Publisher's Summary

Winner of the ALA Schneider Family Award, Wendy Mass has had her fiction for young readers honored with a Junior Library Guild Selection and a Book Sense Children's Pick. Every Soul a Star is the tale of an extraordinary occurrence related through three very different perspectives.Unlike the thousands converging at Moon Shadow to witness a total solar eclipse, Ally calls the isolated campground home. Bree shields herself in a cloak of good looks and popularity, but there is something within her no one suspects. And Jack, overweight and socially inept, finds himself on the verge of a startling possibility.

Read with my 6th grader

My 6th grade son started reading this book for school and loved it. He recommended I read it with him. It was such a pleasure to read and we enjoyed discussing the changes the teens in the book were going through as well as the science of the eclipse.

Very interesting.

Where does Every Soul a Star rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Well honestly It's really cool that it switches characters point of view and voices. It's not long and drawn out either.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Every Soul a Star?

When Bree says "I am not plain, or average or - God forbid - vanilla. I am peanut butter rocky road with multicolored sprinkles, hot fudge and a cherry on top."

Have you listened to any of the narrators’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No sorry I haven't

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes it was. But that's impossible.

Any additional comments?

Many interesting facts about the constellations
