What the Critics Say

Audie Award Winner, Children's Titles - Ages 8 - 11, 2008
"A sweet family life...serves as the foundation for the story, which charts a tough week for Clementine, involving badly cut (and marker-dyed) hair, trouble with the principal, and a spat with a best friend." (Child magazine)
"Fans of Judy Moody will welcome this portrait of another funny, independent third-grader." (Publishers Weekly)

- Tina "I'm a mom. I have drama in my life. I don't want books with the F-bomb, nor graphic violence. I read for fun and to bring my family together. I read for reducing stress levels. We have never had a television in our home and our children are now mid twenties to 19. We listen together and look for belly-wrenching laughter. So what is it like to live without a TV? Awesomely educational and inspirational. Each new book is a marvel."

One credit for a 1.5 hr book!?

My daughter loved this story and wants me to buy her more Clementine stories. Normally, I'd have given a children’s book my kids really like 5 stars. But the Clementine series of audio books are outrageously pricey.

To purchase the 13.5-hour Clementine series, as my daughter would like, I’d have to spend 7 credits or $62.84 to purchase 7 audio books that average less than 2 hours in length. That’s nuts.

For comparison, I purchased the entire 19-hour Ramona Quimby series for a single credit. My daughter also loved those books and I liked them better.
