Love it!

We heard and we hear it over and over again. Since we used to be great fans of the book it's even more exiting to hear the story from a native British speaker. Our famous entertainment while driving long distances.

MUCH better story and performance than the movie!!

Would you listen to Chitty Chitty Bang Bang again? Why?

I would! It's a classic, not to mention FAR from what is expected of Ian Fleming! The story is a hoot, and the narrator brings the characters to life. I love it! And my kids, who hated the movie by the same name, really enjoyed the story and the performance. Five-star!

What did you like best about this story?

I like that it was adventure suitable to kids (nonviolent), but NOT patronizing, and NOT explicitly demonstrating that it's trying to ???teach at good value!??? Yet, it demonstrates good morals without hitting you over the head with it. And it's FUN!

What does Andrew Sachs bring to the story that you wouldn???t experience if you just read the book?

He brings personality to the characters.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

No. It was just fun.

Any additional comments?

As I said, it's not what one would expect from Ian Fleming ??? James Bond, 007! But the characters are fun (including the car!), and the story is interesting. Of course, the fact that it's totally implausible has its own fun effects :-).
