Thirteen-year-old Mic Parsons is surrounded by weird people. He has a deaf and blind sister who clunks noisily around the house. And Vern Chortle has moved onto his street. He’s got to pass math, or his parents won’t let him try out for the baseball team. A book with characters who are DeafBlind and differing abilities.
The female author has a rather negative voice for the mind of a teenage boy. The constant teen angst over being embarrassed by everything became tiring for me. Still it was nice to read about a Deaf Blind character even if it was from her irritating little brother’s perspective.
