Editorial reviews

Barking dogs, crying babies, and even the crunch of a neighbor's potato chips are some of the sounds you'll hear in the audio version of Ezra James Keats' classic children's book, which finds Sam and his younger brother Ben wandering around their crowded and cacophonous New York City tenement building in search of a mysterious harmonica sound.

Charles Turner's emotive delivery captures the awe the brothers experience when they reach their destination, and his voice perfectly suits the lyrical, poetic quality of Keats' prose in this inspiring children's audiobook.

Publisher's summary

The sounds of a harmonica lead to an understanding between a blind man and two boys who live in the same building in the city.

A great book

A cool and fun book. A great book that I found to be developmental and maturative for a young man coming of age such as myself. I found this book to be interesting and fun. I found great relation with the protagonist and I further highly recommend this book.
